Heart trouble stops Korean tour

Changdeok Palace

A Utah man was part way through a tour of Vietnam, Cambodia and South Korea when he started noticing symptoms of potential heart trouble as he was finishing up his tour of the Cambodian resort of Siem Reap. He skipped the following day’s tour of Seoul, including a visit to Changdeokung Palace and its 15th century gardens, the centuries-old homes of Bukchon Hanok Village, and Korea’s first market.

Instead, he recuperated in a Seoul hotel room before boarding a flight home to the United States. When he arrived in Salt Lake City, he went to his doctor who told him he was experiencing an onset of atrial fibrillation, and that he made the right decision to skip the tour.

The client filed a claim through his Cavalry comprehensive travel insurance policy, and was reimbursed the full amount of the $1,200 claim.
